Year in Review – ICXC 2024-25
The Ithaca College men’s track & field and cross country programs have undergone several changes during the past year. From new head coaches to a new first-year class, expectations of success remained the same throughout a transition year. Take a look back on the first season of new leadership for the program and what to expect in the coming years.
Overcoming Adversity – Ithaca College Men’s Track & Field
“Overcoming Adversity – Ithaca College Men’s Track & Field” is a mini-documentary I produced during my senior spring as part of my sports media capstone course. It highlights the journeys of two former track and field teammates of mine, pole vaulter Shaun Herlihy ’25 and distance runner Christopher Licata ’25. Both suffered extremely rare conditions, with Shaun missing his entire junior season, while Chris missed the end of his junior cross country season and beginning of track. Despite these major setbacks, both athletes returned to their events and showcased their commitment to their teammates and their love of the sport.
LNP – Old-Time Baseball Comes to Lititz
If you build it, they will come. In a nod to sports history, complete with uniforms, cigars and old equipment, the Athletic Baseball Club of Philadelphia and Keystone Baseball Club of Harrisburg revived 1860s style baseball with an old-time matchup at Coleman Memorial Chapel in Lititz.
